The Adanola team is growing. We are now recruiting for a commercially focussed Head of Ecommerce and Trading to lead the team as we grow our Ecommerce trading platforms both in the UK and internationally. Reporting directly into the Commercial Director and working closely with the senior leadership team this role will lead the performance of our D2C trading channel, driving sales, profitability and optimising the customer experience.

You will have a deep understanding of the retail industry, a proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies and have the leadership skills to build an empowered team beneath you. Most importantly, you will think like a customer, all the time, every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ecommerce Management – You will implement strategic business plans to drive sales and maximise profit across our website. You will have 100% ownership for all day to day running of the site, as well as web cleanliness (tag management, admin, launches and collections)
  • Team Management – You will lead, mentor, and inspire the ecommerce team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing working environment.
  • Planning and reporting - You'll monitor site performance and sales numbers. You will be expected to provide clear and accurate reporting to aid driving solid bottom line results for sustainable growth.
  • Brand alignment – A core KPI will be making sure that customers across all territories have a seamless Adanola brand experience when shopping our site. This will mean close alignment with our Brand team to ensure that our best assets are being utilised from campaign through to ecom, and that customer journeys with the brand are bespoked across marketing touch points and the site.
  • CX and Conversion Optimisation – You will optimise online conversion with a focus on elevating our digital experience from both a customer experience and brand positioning POV. You will work closely with the Web Dev and Brand teams to roadmap necessary site changes. You will own our site testing strategy and execution.
  • Merchandising – You will collaborate with our merchandising team to ensure we have the right products at the right rime for site. Working alongside our product team to oversee availability, visibility and distribution of products.
  • SEO – You will manage our SEO agency making sure that both technical and onsite SEO optimisations are road mapped and implemented.


Requirements

  • Demonstrable track record leading a developing team in a profitable D2C ecommerce environment.
  • Experience owning a P&L.
  • Analytical thinker, with strong expertise in utilising data to drive decisions, while being mindful of brand direction.
  • Process-oriented, able to develop business models, and define operational requirements and processes.
  • Excellent communicator with a natural ability to convert complex data into easily understandable insights to inform commercial decisions.
  • Experience in managing, directing and motivating a team
  • Strong commercial acumen, focussing on business and commercial outcomes rather than output or input.
