Reporting Line

Based in the Rochdale office your line manager will be the Engineering Director, however you will support teams which are led by Project Managers. Your primary roles and responsibilities are set out below:-

Responsibilities

Working as part of the Engineering/Construction team, you will provide support to a wide range of people including Project Managers, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors.

The role is new to the company and therefore your duties may evolve, however the main role is outlined below:

Primary Responsibilities


  • Provide general assistance to the engineering/construction team.
  • Creation of documentation in support of the engineering/construction team.
  • Manage and control of project documents.
  • Manage the project Document Management System, including loading and issuing of drawings and documents.
  • Create documents in various programs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Purchasing support, including raising of orders, control of purchase ledger invoices including expediting, approval and completion of payment certificates
  • Booking and arranging meetings, including some collation of minutes/notes/actions
  • Scanning / Copying Documents


Knowledge and Experience

As some of our clients systems and software are bespoke to what we do; training will be given in all aspects of the role, however a good level of general competency is required, which should be but not limited to the below.


  • Experience with construction industry Document Management and Project Management Systems i.e. 4P, SharePoint etc
  • Knowledge and experience of M Files would be highly desirable.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications
  • Be able to generate clear information of a high quality.
  • Work as part of a team, but able to self-start and work individually.
  • Great attitude to teamwork and a positive culture.
