As a Senior Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial strategy, financial performance, and profitability.Role OverviewThe Senior Commercial Finance Manager will provide strategic financial leadership, partnering with key stakeholders across the business to drive commercial decision-making. This role is critical in delivering financial insight and analysis to support growth initiatives, profitability improvement, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for managing a high-performing team, delivering accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, and influencing key business decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnering: Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to optimise performance and profitability.Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes for the commercial divisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Profitability Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis on sales and margin performance, product profitability, pricing etc to guide commercial decision-making.Financial Reporting: Deliver monthly and quarterly financial performance reports, highlighting key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.Commercial Strategy: Support the development and execution of commercial strategies to drive growth, efficiency, and market share.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring appropriate controls are in place to safeguard business performance.Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with senior leadership, providing financial guidance and influencing decision-making at the highest levels.Continuous Improvement: Lead process improvements to enhance financial reporting, forecasting accuracy, and business insight capabilities.Key Skills and CompetenciesAnalytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.Stakeholder Management: Proven experience partnering with cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.Leadership: Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a finance team, driving performance and development.Financial Expertise: Strong technical finance skills, including experience with financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate financial information into clear business recommendations.Qualifications and ExperienceProfessional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.Commercial Finance: Proven experience in financial planning & analysis, business partnering, and supporting commercial teams in driving profitability.Leadership: Experience managing and developing a team of finance professionals.Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the FMCG market, including consumer trends, competitive landscape, and key performance metrics.
