The Role

As a rapidly growing business that values staff learning and development, here at Evident we are seeking a Training Manager to join us in a brand new, stand-alone role which will provide a broad range of L&D focused support to the business.


The Training Manager will play a crucial role in developing and implementing learning strategies and is responsible for creating action plans, training programmes, solutions, and interventions in line with our company values and objectives. This will include designing business specific induction courses, delivering training, structuring career and development plans, forming skills matrixes, presenting soft skills workshops and more.

About You

You will:

  • Demonstrate experience of planning, designing, and delivering a variety of training and induction sessions.
  • Possess well established knowledge and experience of a variety of learning and development methodologies and their application.
  • Be familiar with the theory and practice of providing coaching.
  • Possess excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with an ability to manage large learner groups across all levels of the organisation.
  • Be capable of assimilating information quickly and transforming complex material into digestible components.
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and PowerPoint with the ability to develop professional training resources.


It will be advantageous for candidates to possess recognised formal qualifications in training delivery, learning and development and/or coaching practice.


Knowledge of the Renewable Energy sector, and in an interest in clean economy news and developments is also highly desirable.


Key duties:

  • Devise, and deliver a range of training and development programmes and solutions to meet the needs of the business. This will include content to support with induction, in-house knowledge of product and service areas, and soft-skills development.
  • Carry out pre and post course evaluations on identified programmes to ensure that these fit the learning needs of the participants and that they can put their learning in to practice.
  • Review and recommend courses from LinkedIn learning for staff to undertake.
  • Manage the provision and maintenance of effective e-learning to ensure the business’ compliance with key areas such as health and safety.
  • Conduct, update and maintain skills audits, skills matrixes, and training needs analysis to support present and future service delivery.
  • Participate in the development of Learning, Training and Development policies and procedures.
  • Support staff both personally and in their management of others with career development by facilitating discussions on a 1-2-1 basis using recognised coaching styles and techniques.
  • Offer advice and guidance where necessary to all those seeking or engaging with learning and training content, providing guidance and general information about course provision.

Package Description

  • Salary: £45,000 (FTE) per annum.
  • Hours of work: Full time 35 hours per week across Monday to Friday with a one-hour lunch, Part time also available (minimum of 3 days per week)
  • Hybrid working (2 days WFH for Full time hours)
