Role Description

Systems Engineers at Mother are engaged with an extensive portfolio, providing organisations with complementary and fully-outsourced support services across the firm's IT, Telecom and Connectivity service lines. The position is a full-time, office-based role based at Mother Technologies head office in Aberdeen.

Is This You?

As an ideal candidate, you will be a graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Computer Engineering or similar with at least 12 months industry experience preferably in an MSP environment.


You will be professional in all aspects of work and gain the respect of your colleagues by being methodical, calm under pressure, logical in your approach to troubleshooting, eager to satisfy clients, project deadlines and target SLA’s.


You will be confident and possess excellent personal communication skills. You will want to develop and become a recognised master of your profession. Mother will train you both internally and externally providing ongoing remuneration review for your recognised achievements and contributions to the firm.


Successful candidates will be based at our Aberdeen office and routinely deployed to our customers premises. A full driving license is essential.


Prerequisites

  • Graduate with at lease 12 months industry experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A logical structured approach to problem solving
  • Proficient working knowledge of Windows Desktop and Active Directory
  • A positive and professional attitude towards all aspects of work
  • Eager to develop and contribute to the success of the company
  • A Full Driving License


Advantageous

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and Group Policy
  • Working knowledge of Sharepoint, M365 & Azure
  • Experience working in an MSP environment
  • An understanding CyberSecurity threats and best practices
  • A sound understanding of basic network infrastructure components (eg, switches and WiFi equipment)
  • IP Telephony experience
