The People Operations team at OpenTable | KAYAK is dedicated to enhancing the employee experience while prioritizing efficiency and scalability. As a Partner, you will play a critical role in leading global mobility and immigration needs across both brands

This role is responsible for managing and optimising the company’s global mobility and immigration processes. It requires a highly proactive, organised, and detail-oriented individual to ensure smooth, efficient, and effective handling of all related cases. The successful candidate will be a specialist in their field, ensuring that cases are not just managed but driven to successful and timely completion.

In this role, you will:

  • Become a subject matter expert in global mobility and immigration at OpenTable / KAYAK, with a particular focus on European complexities.
  • Proactively gather and share knowledge on immigration laws, visa requirements, and standard processes with HR Business Partners and employees.
  • Own and handle the end-to-end process for global mobility, business travel and immigration cases, ensuring efficient and timely completion while creating a positive employee experience.
  • Anticipate and identify potential challenges and roadblocks, and effectively partner internally and with external parties to address these, providing innovative solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR Business Partners, external counsel, and employees, ensuring proactive communication regarding case statuses and managing processes effectively to minimise the need for follow-up from collaborators.
  • Collaborate closely with external legal counsel to drive timely and accurate information, ensuring that all parties are kept informed and aligned.
  • Work closely with People Operations Specialists to align immigration and mobility processes with overall people operations, such as onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration. Leverage their knowledge of local regulations and practices to ensure compliance and to avoid delays.
  • Partner with other key internal teams such as Compensation, Payroll, Talent Acquisition and Legal to ensure smooth and efficient case management.
  • Identify and implement a scalable and structured approach to handling cases, enhancing efficiency and minimising disruption and reactive urgent requests.
  • Establish a comprehensive and systematic process for collecting and analysing data on all costs associated with immigration and mobility for active and upcoming cases. This includes relocation costs, visa expirations, renewals, and new applications providing accurate financial insights for strategic decision-making, budget planning, and executive approval.
  • Review and refine current processes to ensure a more proactive approach, focusing on communication and process transparency for stakeholders.
  • Regularly seek feedback from stakeholders and adjust strategies as vital to meet business needs.

Please apply if you have:

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated ability in managing global mobility and immigration processes, including visa applications, renewals, and relocations across multiple regions, with a strong focus on European immigration laws and regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of immigration laws, visa categories, work permits, and global mobility best practices, particularly within Europe.
  • Proven experience in managing sophisticated cases with tight deadlines, including the end-to-end handling of visa cases and relocations.
  • Experience in gathering, analysing, and reporting on data related to immigration and mobility.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining case tracking systems and improving process efficiencies.

What is Highly Desirable?

  • Experience with HR technology, specifically Workday.
  • Experience in managing budgets for global mobility programs, including forecasting and cost analysis.
  • Flexibility with working hours due to the global reach of the business.
