In this role, you will take ownership of delivering outstanding events and ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standard.£35000+ excellent benefits including healthcare, wellbeing support, 23 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, meals on duty, and more.Key Responsibilities:• Ensure all conference and event spaces are set up to an exceptional standard, tailored to guest requirements.• Provide professional and attentive service throughout each event, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.• Assist with servicing event spaces during use, including food and beverage service as required.• Support a wide variety of events, from small syndicate rooms and private dinners to large conferences, exhibitions, and banquets.This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, and you'll play a key part in creating memorable experiences for our guests.Specific responsibilities• To be fully competent in the use of all IT systems associated with your department.• To ensure that yourself and your team are fully aware of all venue's facilities and events• To take responsibility for Profit Protection manual actions relating each department.• To ensure the department SOP is up to date and is monitored for 100% compliance.• Proactively manage the work of the team, allocating special duties and responsibilities.• To handle guest queries and feedback, taking appropriate action to ensure full resolution.• Develop and maintain a high level of guest care with the emphasis on guest interaction.• Duty manager shifts ownership and responsibility of the daily job tasks• Attend any meeting as requested by the management.• To ensure effective communication between each department.• React promptly to any issued identified for maintenance and add into Opera.• To adhere to departmental SOP compliance.• Set up meeting rooms as per guest requirements to meet company SOP.• Maintain colleague discipline and grievance procedures in accordance with our policies.• Take ownership for all Health and Safety as they arise.• Cogard Health and Safety and Duty Manager Safety Walk daily.• Maintenance & Cleanliness of the site grounds internally and externally• To be aware of all legislation that is relevant to your work and ensure that all legal requirements are met, including: licensing, Health and Safety at Work, COSHH, Environmental Health, Fire Precautions, Manual Handling, Wellbeing and Risk Assessments.• To support the overall goals of the business.• Assisting in all departments where business needs daily support.• Ambassador to our venue and brand you will lead by example, give clear instructions, and maintain good guest relations to both internal and extremal customers.• Play an active role in highlighting sales opportunities through interaction with our guest.Benefits Medicash - Healthcare benefits, including dental, optical and therapy treatments (includes up to 4 dependent children) Aviva Digicare - Free annual healthcare check Exclusive Benefits & Wellbeing site (Perks at Work) Entertainment discounts - up to 55% off cinema tickets Health & Wellbeing discounts - Discounts for Nuffield Health (20%) and Pure Gym (10%) Travel discounts - Discounts with holiday companies such as TUI and Expedia Shopping discounts - Save up to 15% at high street and online stores by purchasing Shopping Cards Meals on duty Vodaphone discounts Pension scheme and Life Assurance Employee Assistance Programme 23 days + BH's and additional day off for your birthday 2 days additional leave, following return from Maternity leave during first year back Competitive and supportive family benefits Day off for baby's first birthday Holiday purchase scheme On-going training & development and career pathways Professional subscriptions paid Financial wellbeing programme and preferred rates on salary finance productsGreat things happen when people get together in our spaces to meet and spaces to sleep at Kents Hill Park.
