Are you a tech-savvy organiser with a passion for project management? Step into the spotlight as an IT Project Coordinator at Saffron Building Society where you will be supporting the IT Project Manager in the delivery of IT projects within agreed timelines.

Working with the IT and Change teams as well as internal staff and external contractors to facilitate the delivery of IT projects.

The role will engage with the wider business and key stakeholders to deliver IT initiatives across the Society.


The day to day role:

  • Project manage “IT” projects as directed by the IT Project Manager.
  • Working with the IT Project Manager to deliver key IT projects.
  • Adhere to, promote and improve Society Project Governance - writing and refining project proposals, Terms of Reference & PID documentation, and completing lessons learned exercise on project completion.
  • Maintaining project plans in monday.com and Microsoft Project; updating and tracking progress against the baseline and manage the timely delivery of the projects.
  • Managing expectations for the delivery of the project and escalating issues on deadlines as early as possible to IT Project Manager to enable appropriate corrective action to be taken.
  • Monitoring the progress of assigned IT projects. This includes the reporting of project level issues and risks.
  • Where necessary, liaising with third party suppliers to ensure successful delivery of external products.

To be successful you will ideally have knowledge of:


  • Prince 2 Foundation/APM PFQ or equivalent, or similar experience working in an IT department or within Technology field.
  • Proficiency in project planning.
  • An understanding of risk and issue management.
  • Demonstrable ability to influence and manage key project stakeholders and resources, both internal and external.
  • An understanding of financial management – planning and control of project budgets.
  • Strong supplier and negotiation skills.
  • High levels of organisation and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
