Join Our Team as a Front Desk Supervisor
The Glasgow Marriott is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Front Desk Supervisor / Guest Experience Supervisor to join our wonderful team. The Guest Experience Supervisor sets the tone for every guest's stay with a warm welcome, and you'll be ready to answer to any questions and happy to offer information about the hotel services, facilities, and local area. You will take on responsibility for all functions relating to guest experiences, assuming responsibility of all hotel software systems, balancing all outlets to Opera and resolving discrepancies.

We are looking for true people person who can drive and motivate the team to delight and wow our customers from the moment they walk into the hotel. The selected candidate will become a part of our wonderful Front Office team who always strive to deliver the best service for our guests while working in a dynamic environment. In this role you will assist the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions and supervising staff on a daily basis and you will be a key player in helping our guests make the most of their stay at the hotel. .
This is a full time position (40 hours / 5 days per week) working a variety of early and late shifts Monday to Sunday.
What you'll do.
- Greet guests with a warm welcome on arrival and bid them a fond farewell on leaving. Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests.
- Run shifts, assisting other employees to ensure prompt guest service.
- Assist the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions and supervising staff on a daily basis and you will be a key player in helping our guests make the most of their stay at the hotel.
- Proactively engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings.
- Provide information to guests about: outlets, staff and services, including hours of operation, room locations, types of rooms, room rates and discounts.
- Partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve common goals.
- Process payments and follow all payment and cash handling procedures.
- Train, coach and manage the Front Office team in order to support engagement and opportunity.
Who we are looking for.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who we anticipate will have worked in a similar role within the hospitality or travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is a fast learner, adaptable and has exceptional attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to be extremely efficient and professionally skilled in:

- The ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time across a work shift.
- Previous experience in a hotel reception environment.
