Purpose


The UK Regional Service Manager performs a critical function for Sinoboom. He/she provides support, training, and advice to customers, including distributors, across the region. It is his/her responsibility to ensure a rapid response to any breakdowns and training or maintenance issues by fully understanding all aspects of the safe operation and maintenance of our equipment and preparing solutions. This person will often be in direct contact with other Regional Service Managers within the company, working with them to create policies to improve reliability, training, and product reliability. The Regional Service Manager will work closely with our UK Regional Sales Manager as well as technical specialists in our Dutch facility located in the Netherlands.


The Role


Customer satisfaction with our MEWPs is his/her top priority. Specifically, he/she has responsibility for:

• Providing technical support and assistance to our UK Regional Manager

• Implementing and delivering technical training in the UK Region

• Maintaining our warranty program in the UK

• Proactively identifying repetitive problems or issues with our MEWPs,

• Devising solutions and preventive actions,

• Assisting in New Product Development.

• Direct, “hands on” work on MEWPs is part of the job.


Key accountabilities and Responsibilities


• Organizing and delivering technical training and outreach programs to ensure high levels of customer knowledge in the UK Region.

• Ensuring prompt and accurate responses to customer technical enquiries

• Delivery of after sales service and support to customers

• Oversight of our warranty program in the UK Region.

• Liaising with the Dutch team at the Netherlands regarding spare parts

• Customer support in the field, travel will be necessary.

• Assisting with provision of necessary technical documentation

• After-sales support including use of the company Service Ticket software

• Assistance with relevant new technology, eg telematics, to our equipment

• Support our office staff with feedback and regular reports.

• Contribute to New Product Development

• Ensure that Sinoboom has adequate systems in place to provide high quality after sales support and back up to our customers.


Experience and Qualifications


• Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a high school education or the equivalent with additional training preferred through university or a vocational school.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the MEWP sector with a rental, distributor, or manufacturer company

• Proven additional technical training on MEWPs

• An excellent knowledge of the product and a strong knowledge of the product market including hands on technical experience.

• Excellent database computer skills with a strong ability to operate PC programs, ability to learn remotely and with a good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Fluent English essential.
