You’ll have the autonomy to shape strategy, drive innovation, and ensure the category delivers quality, profitability, and sustainability.The role is ideal for a commercially minded buyer who enjoys combining strategic planning with hands-on supplier engagement and has a strong understanding of the UK seafood market.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the category strategy for fresh fish, aligning with business goals and market trends.Manage supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, contracts, and promotions.Oversee product mix and availability, ensuring quality, freshness, and sustainability standards are met.Work closely with operations and quality teams to maintain consistent stock flow and product excellence.Monitor performance, analyse data, and report insights to senior management.Identify new product opportunities and emerging seafood trends.Collaborate with internal teams across commercial, procurement, and supply chain.What You’ll BringProven experience in seafood buying, trading, or category management.Strong knowledge of fish species, sourcing, and sustainability practices.Excellent commercial and negotiation skills.Analytical thinker with a results-driven mindset.Collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about fresh food.Why Apply?You’ll join a respected, fast-moving business where fresh thinking and collaboration are valued.
