We're looking for an experienced Category Manager to join a housing association based in London or Manchester. This role is a 12-month maternity cover contract, reporting to the Category Lead, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering category strategies across a diverse range of indirect corporate spend areas including HR, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Insurance, and Training. Client Details This organisation is a medium-sized entity operating within the housing sector. They focus on delivering high-quality services and products to their customers while maintaining strong supplier partnerships. Description Develop and implement category strategies for indirect corporate spend. Analyse spend data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Lead end-to-end procurement processes in line with compliance requirements. Deliver savings and value through strategic sourcing and supplier management. Ensure adherence to relevant legislation including Procurement Act 2023 and PCR 2015. Profile A successful Category Manager should have: Proven experience in end-to-end procurement within indirect categories. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex spend data. Ideally from a public sector or broad procurement background. Familiarity with UK procurement regulations and certified practitioner status. Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from 45,000 to 55,000 per annum. Opportunities to work within a respected housing association. 1-2 days per week on-site. London, Stratford or Manchester based.
