This is a pivotal role supporting legal operations, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contractual matters.The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a collaborative approach. You’ll work closely with General and Senior Counsel, the Data Protection Officer, and cross-functional teams to ensure legal and compliance excellence across the business.At Sofina Foods, we value integrity, accountability, and expertise. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact legal projects and support the business in achieving strategic objectives.Your Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive legal and administrative support to the Legal Department and Data Protection Officer.Assist with legal research, drafting, and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.Support corporate governance and compliance activities, including regulatory filings and internal policy management.Maintain and manage legal files, records, and contract management systems.Liaise with internal departments, external counsel, and regulatory bodies as required.Prepare legal reports, board and committee papers, minutes, and resolutions.Support litigation and dispute resolution by gathering evidence and preparing documentation.Monitor legal developments and ensure timely updates on regulatory changes.The Ideal CandidateLaw degree or recognised paralegal qualification (CILEX, NALP, or equivalent).Previous experience in a paralegal or legal support role, ideally within a corporate or in-house environment.Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with legal document management systems.High levels of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.Knowledge of the food or manufacturing industry would be an advantage.Why Sofina Foods?Competitive salaryCompany pension & life assurance schemeOnline Benefits HubHealth & Wellbeing programmeFree on-site parkingSupportive cultCompany InformationSofina Foods isn't just a food company - It’s a place to build your future.With a team of over 13,000 people across 40 sites in Canada and Europe, we're passionate about delivering quality meats and seafood products to consumers around the world.Join a company where innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction drive everything we do.
