A challenging career opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join the team of an established Service Centre near Edenbridge, West Sussex.As Workshop Controller, you will be familiar with managing a productive workshop team, whilst recognising the importance of delivering high standards of customer service.The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily control of the workshop in order to maintain a high level of productivity and quality repair.

Requirements

  • Experience of working as a Workshop Controller in a similar environment
  • Knowledge of managing a workshop team as Workshop Controller/Manager is essential
  • You will have experience of managing and mentoring in excess of 10 technicians
  • Maintaining good working relationships and communication with the Service Advisors and internal departments
  • Managing the Service Workshop and Service Advisors
  • Organising the workload and distributing work to ensure optimum efficiency and productivity
  • Increasing and maintaining workshop productivity and efficiency, with the aim of achieving a "First Time Fix"
  • Keeping abreast of product launches and technical advances
  • Adhering to Health & Safety practices and ensuring the team comply too
  • Mentoring and supporting the team
  • Enhancing the knowledge and skills of each team member by participation in training courses

The PackageThe successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary package, consisting of a £38,000 Basic salary, with the opportunity to enhance earnings with an OTE of £50,000. Career development through manufacturer training is also available.The HoursThe working week consists of working 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday (no weekends)

Requirements

  • A Full, UK Driving Licence, for Insurance purposes
  • Experience of working as a Workshop Controller in a similar environment
