A Day in the Life of the Business Development Manager
Seek opportunities to provide technical and commercial support to new and existing customers including site audits and customer training
Identify, monitor and liaise with new and existing customers to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Help customers maintain the company products to maximise the total cost of ownership and minimise production downtime
- Research and develop opportunities to grow new business
- Prepare sales forecasts and monthly reports to monitor sales performance
- Provide customer, competitor, and marketing data to grow turnover, volume, and profitability
- Assist in developing and executing the company’s sales & marketing strategy and group accounts
- Identify and manage threats and opportunities to the company’s business
Candidate Specification requirements for the role of Business Development Manager
- This role requires the candidate to possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- You will need to have very good organisational, presentation and problem-solving skills
- You will be results-driven with a hunger to succeed
- Must be IT literate (Microsoft Office) and comfortable with reporting tasks
- This role involves extensive travel and overnight stays and requires a full UK drivers licence
