Right now, we’re looking to recruit a Business Intelligence Lead, to head our dynamic team and propel our BI strategies and reporting solutions. You’ll be able to develop not only your technical skills and knowledge, but also your career in an exciting and often challenging environment.



THE ROLE


The Business Intelligence (BI) Lead will play a critical role in driving the data-driven decision-making across the organization. They will manage a team of BI Developers that provide Business Intelligence services to the company, developing, and executing BI strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data analytics and reporting solutions. The role will require quick establishment within the BI team in a busy environment, where reporting on company performance is key to decision making at the top level.


You’ll work with stakeholders from various departments not only as a point of contact for BI related enquiries and requests, but also collaboration as to help define scope, objectives, and deliverables of BI projects.


An immediate focus will be on reducing the BI backlog through your technical skills, by building trusted datasets so the business will be enabled to build their own reports safely, and by re-evaluating the benefits of the requests and setting business expectation.



FCA CERTIFICATION REGIME & CONDUCT RULES


L&C is authorised and regulated by the FCA and is classified as an Enhanced Firm under the Senior Manager’s and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role is subject to the 5 FCA Conduct rules and you will be expected to adhere to them at all times. (See below). Any confirmed breaches of the Conduct Rules will be reported to the FCA annually. Should you apply for a Certified role in another financial services firm then L&C may be required to disclose this information in a Regulatory Reference request.

ABOUT YOU


A seasoned BI leader, your strong communication and presentation skills, together with your resourcefulness and problem solving nature will drive your excellent decision making skills, enabling you to collaborate in our busy BI team. With personal drive to help colleagues you’ll also analyse and review development improvement areas and assist with the process of implementing change using industry best practice; documenting new processes as required, as well as identify risks, issues and constraints along the way.


You’ll have a strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts, as well as proficiency with BI tools and strong knowledge to help others.


Knowledge and experience of financial services, in particular mortgages, would be useful but not essential. Furthermore, whilst we recognise and value academic and technical qualifications, we are more interested in your relevant technical expertise in the above areas.
