The role 

 

The Trade Marketing Manager will play a vital role in supporting the sales team with the implementation and activation of customer marketing initiatives, particularly across wholesale and foodservice channels. This position is ideal for a highly motivated and creative marketing professional who excels in trade marketing activities, customer engagement, and channel-specific strategies. The Trade Marketing Manager will ensure the effective execution of marketing strategies to enhance brand presence and drive sales, contributing to our overall business objectives.

Your responsibilities 

 

Trade Marketing 

  • Develop and execute campaigns to support sales growth strategy. 
  • Manage and activate trade marketing activities across wholesale, foodservice, online, grocery and independent retail. 
  • Ensure marketing activities consistently enhance the brand's reputation. 
  • Oversee implementation of Amazon advertising strategy in conjunction with Amazon agency. 

 

Digital Communications 

  • Management of social media channels, B2B (LinkedIn) and B2C (Instagram) content creation, scheduling, engagement, collaborations and influencer campaigns. 
  • Coordination of the regular email communications to our B2B customer database. 

 

Event Management 

  • Manage activation of trade and consumer shows across the year, including attending to man the stand. 
  • Manage inventory of marketing materials to ensure brand consistency and availability for marketing efforts. 

 

PR Management 

  • Oversee external PR team, briefing and signing off press releases. 
  • Oversee media buying in key trade publications to continuously drive trade reappraisal. 

 

Packaging Coordination 

  • Manage the development of packaging artwork utilising external creative resource. 
  • Own sign off process of all packaging, coordinating with NPD and Technical teams for sign off and managing submission to our printers. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Skills and experience 

 

  • Degree in marketing/communications, or related experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience in Trade Marketing / Customer Marketing Activation. 
  • Commercial awareness with focus of driving sales and monitoring ROI. 
  • Demonstrated experience in management of trade events. 
  • Knowledgeable in social media platforms, especially Instagram and LinkedIn. 
  • Project management skills, setting timelines, managing stakeholders to meet deadlines and ability to juggle and prioritise tasks. 
  • Great communication skills across all levels. 
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
