Youll deliver tailored training, manage CPC programmes, and provide hands-on coaching to help drivers improve performance, reduce risk, and meet professional standards. This is a highly visible and rewarding role, perfect for someone who thrives on mentoring, problem-solving, and making a difference on the road.Key Responsibilities- Driver Competence & ComplianceConduct annual driver assessments and monitor compliance with DTAS, Red Tractor, and other standardsSupport safe vehicle use, load security, and operational procedures (e.g. BLACK process)Deliver training for new drivers, apprentices, and industry entrantsMaintain accurate and auditable competency records- CPC Training ManagementPlan and coordinate CPC training schedules for regional driversEnsure training topics align with company needs and industry standardsDeliver or facilitate CPC sessions via face-to-face and online platforms- Performance, Risk & SafetySupport investigations into infringements, accidents, and near missesMonitor telematics data (e.g. Microlise) and coach drivers to improve safety and efficiencyProvide constructive feedback and practical coaching to reduce incidents- Driver Support & DevelopmentLead driver inductions and integrate new drivers into the businessProvide ongoing support to apprentices and new-to-sector driversAct as a trusted point of contact for driver training and guidanceWhat Were Looking For- Experience & QualificationsExperience as a Driver Trainer, Assessor, or senior driver with training responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of UK transport regulations and vehicle safety standardsProven experience delivering driver assessments and training (classroom and on-road)Understanding of Driver CPC requirements and training deliveryFull, clean UK driving licence including LGV Category C+ERecognised driver training qualification (e.g. RTITB, LGV Instructor) or equivalent experience- Skills & AttributesExcellent communication, coaching, and influencing skillsStrong organisational and analytical abilitiesConfident working independently and managing a varied workloadAble to challenge constructively and drive continuous improvementSkilled in using telematics data to support driver developmentProficient in Microsoft Office and digital training platformsReady to Make a Difference?Ready to join us in shaping a safe and compliant driver workforce?
