Drilling Facilities Engineer

Currently recruiting for an experienced Drilling Facilities Engineer on a contract basis for an E&P company based in Kingswells, Aberdeen. It is a contract position through until the end of December 2025, and the company are only considering PAYE contractors for this particular role.
The Drilling Facilities Engineer will be responsible for the technical condition and integrity of the company's drilling facilities. The Drilling Facilities Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Daily follow up of drilling equipment and the drilling facility's integrity to ensure reliable and efficient operations in compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Following up on the Drilling Contractors' deliveries.
- Being responsible for the system's technical integrity and lifetime plan.
- Travelling offshore as needed.
- Following up on modifications in the drilling areas.
- Following up on assigned actions in Synergi.
- Providing input to the planning of drilling and well activities.
- Contributing to the implementation of new technology and continuous improvement.
Experience/Qualifications:
- A degree qualification would be preferred.
- Current/valid offshore certification would be preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role, directly within the North Sea Oil and Gas industry, is essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role, directly with a North Sea-based E&P company/operator, would be preferred.
- Experience with topside drilling equipment is essential.
- Experience with maintenance and offshore drilling facilities is essential.
- Applicants should have knowledge of applicable regulations and standards with respect to drilling equipment.
