Role Overview: The Building Services Manager will manage and competently lead the delivery of the Mechanical, Electrical and public health services installations of education schemes within the companies project portfolio. Project values between £20m - £40m.


Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the managing of each stage of the project delivery process, to
  • ensure all works are fully coordinated and delivered in accordance with the contract
  • programme.
  • You will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated person able to work as part of a team, be methodical and have strong communication and interpersonal skills .
  • Responsible for managing regular progress review meetings and the preparation of stage reports for regular weekly/ monthly update within the business.
  • You will need to manage your own time with regard to your day-to-day duties, where punctual project delivery is essential.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience delivering M&E packages for new Build Schools and Commercial Buildings
  • A BTEC in Building Services Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or a HNC / HND / Degree in Building Services Engineering
  • Considerable industry experience design management of live schemes and pre-construction activities
  • A strong team player comfortable liaising with differing management and client teams.
  • Strong IT skills
  • A strong understanding of Quality, Safety, Environmental and Legislative systems and
  • procedures
  • An appreciation of phasing and construction programming
  • Being able to identify risk and opportunity
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight timescales and deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Breeam, Part L, Building Regs and industry standards
