We're seeking a future team member for the role of Head of Fund Oversight to join our Trustee and Depositary team. The job role of a Head of Fund Oversight involves overseeing the day-to-day fund oversight of collective investment scheme where BNY is the trustee/depositary and ensuring that processes run smoothly and efficiently. This may include managing teams, creating and implementing strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards
This role is a hybrid working role and is in Edinburgh
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Leading and managing the fund oversight team within the trustee and depositary sector.
- Ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Ensuring adherence to governance standards and control expectations
- Continuously improving the control environment.
- Delivering client reports, attending client meetings and due diligence reviews, and conducting service review meetings.
- Ensuring the UK governance structure is appropriate for business line, legal entity, and regional needs.
- Developing strategies to boost efficiency and manage costs.
- Analysing data to support decision-making.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders including EMEA depositaries, risk, compliance and senior management
- Driving feedback and improvements through self-assessment and training.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership roles for trustees and depositaries
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of guiding teams through change
- Effective networking abilities
- Solid understanding of industry standards and FCA regulations
- Providing guidance and mentorship to team members by sharing best practices and offering pertinent support and development opportunities
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with strategic thinking skills
