Key duties
As commercial account executives, your key duties will focus on revenue generation:
- Managing & develop a book of commercial business;
- Working with introducers generating and nurturing thriving new business pipeline(s);
- Ensuring timely renewals and healthy renewal/retention ratio; and
- Proactively exploiting cross-selling opportunities.
Required experience
- To thrive, you’ll need extensive (a minium of 2 years’) commercial products experience and knowledge, in an executive or senior account handler role.
- Preferably you will have dealt with clients withing the hospitality or construction and liability spaces.
- Acturis broking systems experience would be highly desirable.
What the role needs - crucial qualities
- To succeed, you’ll be an innate relationship builder – effortlessly developing and maintaining strong, effective relationships with clients, insurers, underwriters and colleagues.
- They have excellent relationships in place with introducers and support you with a steady stream of new business-qualified leads.
- With strong commercial account executive experience, you appreciate the importance of delivering outstanding client service.
- You’re driven by meeting (and preferably exceeding) clients’ needs.
- You’ve built a proven sales track record and can demonstrate that you’ve achieved measurable growth in your current position.
- You’ll need a full driving licence. It would be useful if you have access to a car for business use.
Personal skills
An experienced and tenacious commercial account executive, you’ll develop your skills to an exciting new level.
- To thrive, you’ll need to be a confident and accomplished communicator, by phone and face-to-face.
- Highly organised, you’re great at time management, rigorous at keeping on top of your (timely) admin.
- As you’ll assume greater autonomy and responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail will be crucial.
- You’ll also need to be expert at organising your own workload and managing your own diary.
Required qualifications
- You must be Cert CII qualified, working towards it, or motivated to do so.
- Diploma in Insurance would be useful but is not essential.

- Highly competitive base salary (DOE) + uncapped quarterly commission incentive (up to 35% over threshold)
