A prominent construction company based in London is seeking an experienced Proposals Manager to join its Head Office team on a permanent basis. This role involves overseeing tender processes for civil engineering infrastructure projects and ideally would like someone from an M&E background.


Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring thorough comprehension of client requirements within the tender team.
  • Creating and managing tender schedules, holding progress debrief meetings.
  • Directly supervising and managing the tender team throughout the process and lifecycle.
  • Making substantial operational contributions by crafting, reviewing, and finalizing bids.
  • Collaborating with planners to detail project plans as per client specifications.
  • Assisting the procurement department in interviewing potential supply chain partners.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors for technical data and supporting estimators in pricing.
  • Ensuring consistency between technical and cost production volumes.
  • Drafting risk management documentation for projects/services to be provided.
  • Liaising with relevant departments to ensure bid feasibility and deliverability.
  • Generating post-bid reviews and handover documentation.


Ideal candidates should possess:

  • Demonstrated success in leading tenders for construction/civil engineering projects.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
