One of Carbon60’s clients within the aviation industry is looking for a Network Technical Lead to join on a contract basis.
Contract specifics:
- Rate: up to £650pd (Inside IR35, Umbrella)
- Contract length: up to the end of the year (potential of extension)
- 1 days a week in the office (near Heathrow Airport)
The Role: As a Network Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the network infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, engineering, and implementing technical network changes, and working closely with project delivery teams. This role requires ownership of network devices within functional areas such as WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, and Voice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and make technical changes to our network devices, including LAN and Wi-Fi design and strategy.
- Support the migration from legacy Data Centres to Cloud infrastructure.
- Work with project delivery teams to support and deliver network changes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of network performance and processes.
- Communicate network solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support our move to Cloud and the changes to the networking infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Technical qualifications/certifications within the area of expertise.
- Extensive experience in supporting and developing complex networks.
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure in a networking capacity.
- Vendor experience with Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, and F5.
- Experience with AWS and Voice systems
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment.
- Innovative, practical, and cost-effective problem-solving skills.
- Risk management and ability to deliver IT change.
Experience:
- Supporting complex global organizations, ideally in a business and technology delivery environment.
- Promoting and advocating innovative ways of working to increase the speed and effectiveness of projects.
This role may require travel and working from multiple sites/locations. If you are willing and able to travel to participate in meetings, workshops, and other related activities, we would love to hear from you.
