Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee working parties for aircraft recovery, ensuring the wellbeing of the aircraft and the recovery team.
  • Coordinate and oversee working parties for the recovery of AOG aircraft around the world, delivering safe, efficient, and expedient return to service while managing the recovery team's welfare.
  • Improve aircraft and engineering performance through proactive use of aircraft monitoring and prognostic tools.
  • Analyse and act on safety reports and repetitive defects.
  • Provide on-site specialist technical support as required, with due regard for safety, technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
  • Source and provide required approved data necessary to ensure safe maintenance, repair, or modification of BA aircraft engines, components, or products.
  • Follow laid-down technical procedures to deliver aircraft, engine, and component technical, safety, and cost performance targets, along with continuous improvement of aircraft technical performance, engineering processes, and procedures.
  • Support business development and change initiatives in support of the business plan.
  • Support optimal technical decision-making across the team and lead technical discussions across departments, using expertise and considering the business effects.
  • Support and coordinate activity at line stations to minimise technical delays and AOG recovery.
  • Improve aircraft performance through proactive use of aircraft monitoring and prognostic tools, carrying out repetitive defect analysis, aircraft reliability, and safety reviews.
