A leading healthcare provider in the East Midlands is seeking a dedicated and proactive Data Quality Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £44,000 and the chance to significantly improve data quality across the organisation.


Role Overview:

As the Data Quality Manager, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive data quality strategy. You will collaborate with various business units to identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring standardisation and validation of data across the organisation. Your efforts will support internal and external reporting, providing assurance about the quality of data produced and consumed. Our client are based in Derby and you will be required onsite 2-3 times a week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust data quality strategy.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues with data owners, users, and custodians.
  • Establish and manage a data quality issue resolution process.
  • Collaborate with IT and Information Governance on data leakage and retention.
  • Engage with Information Asset Owners to support continuous data quality improvement.


Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a data quality or business intelligence role, with a high level of technical literacy including O365 and Azure. You should be adept at technical documentation writing and automating high volume/low effort tasks. Excellent verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to simplify technical information for end users and confidently lead meetings. Any experience with Power BI or SQL/T-SQL would also be desirable but not essential.


Experience in project and change management, data quality frameworks, and continuous improvement of data quality KPIs is crucial. Familiarity with the Health and Social Care sector, particularly the NHS, and Information Governance rules is desirable. You should be proactive, responsible, able to work effectively as part of a team, and willing to mentor others.
