(Best companies / Investors in People).We are recruiting for the role of a Prison Tutor & Coach to join this team at HMP The Mount in Hertfordshire. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality interventions to offenders. Your efforts will help develop their confidence and encourage a positive mindset through structured programs and personalized support. Interventions can include one-to-one support or group work training among small groups.  And could cover a range of subject areas such as:
  • Managing emotions
  • Life skills
  • Vocational training courses
  • Practicalities upon release
  • Goal setting
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Delivery and Coordination: Collaborate with prison colleagues to manage all Wing stages including induction, assessment, support work, the 3-phase delivery, education and training, and pre-release preparation.
  2. Peer Mentor Support: Recruit, train, and provide support for Wing Peer Mentors.
  3. Case Management: Update case notes and input achievements onto CATS+, the CFO Evolution case management recording system, ensuring a high level of compliance to avoid rejected achievements.
