Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Compliance Manager to ensure that our group of security and risk management companies operates in full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards across all African regions where we operate. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective compliance programs and policies to uphold the highest ethical standards and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance – Ensure all Group companies comply with all relevant international, national, and local laws and industry-specific regulations in the countries where we operate.
  • System Maintenance and Administration – Fulfil all stated responsibilities within the Integrated Management System (IMS); not only checking compliance with ISO standards but also ensuring that the IMS effectively contributes to the overall efficiency, quality, and performance of the organisation.
  • and Reporting – Regularly monitor internal procedures to ensure the effectiveness of the IMS. Develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of issues.
  • Management – Manage internal and external auditing requirements and procedures for the IMS across all business units.
  • Supply Chain Due Diligence – Manage and administer all due diligence processes throughout our supply chain to minimise compliance risk and support business processes.
  • Training and Awareness – Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that employees across different regions understand compliance requirements and the importance of adhering to them, fostering a culture of compliance within the organisation.
  • and External Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with various stakeholders including clients, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure that compliance measures are met, understood and implemented effectively across the organisation.
  • Data Protection and Privacy – Oversee the company's data protection policy and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws.
  • Development and Implementation – Support the COO to develop, implement, and maintain internal compliance policies and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement – Continually assess and improve the company IMS and compliance program, adapting to new risks, business activities, and regulatory changes.




Qualifications and Experience:

  • degree in business administration, law, finance, or a related field is required. An advanced degree or professional certification in compliance or risk management is preferred.
  • experience (5+ years) in compliance management, preferably within the security, risk management, or related industries in Africa.
  • knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing security and risk management operations, both on and offshore in Africa.
  • Organisation and Management: Excellent organisation skills to deal with a large volume of tasks, to effectively prioritise and track all tasks to completion, delegating as required.
  • and Decision-making: Ability to identify compliance challenges, evaluate alternative courses of action, and make timely and informed decisions to resolve issues and mitigate risks effectively.
