If so, our client wants you  We are looking for a Laboratory Analyst with a strong background in analytical instrumentation to conduct quality checks and provide technical support within their global laboratory network. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest quality of data and service for our client and offers the opportunity to travel and expand their analytical capabilities within.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Conduct comprehensive and robust quality checking on work completed by laboratory personnel.
  • Provide technical support and training to remote personnel to ensure top-quality data and service.
  • Travel abroad to carry out training and offer specific technical support.
  • Utilise expertise in analytical instrumentation such as GC, ICP, and GC-MS, including equipment maintenance.
  • Perform analysis to IP/ASTM/API specifications and have knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Flow Assurance Testing, Microbial Testing, Geochemical Testing or Water Analysis.
  • Work independently and lead a team to ensure timely project completion.
  • Review and update methodologies to address analytical challenges creatively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in an analytical laboratory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver constructive feedback and meaningful coaching to junior staff.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and be proactive.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal guidance.
  • Proficient in reviewing analysis by others and identifying necessary corrections or amendments.
