In this role, you will be responsible for providing detailed market analysis, financial insights, and energy industry intelligence to support strategic decision-making and business development. This position plays a key role in optimising commercial performance, identifying new opportunities, and driving the company's growth within the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis:

Analyse and interpret complex data sets, identify trends and potential risks, and create actionable insights for senior management. Utilise data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of business initiatives.

• Energy Sector Insights:

Stay updated on developments in the energy industry, including renewable energy, energy transition, policy/regulatory changes, and emerging technologies. Provide strategic recommendations based on market shifts and new trends.

• Collaboration:

Be flexible to both customer and company needs, be willing to jump in and support all areas of the business.

• Business Development Support:

Assist in the evaluation and negotiation of commercial contracts, including all aspects of the commercial value proposition, from energy purchasing agreements to joint venture appraisal. Identify new business opportunities and assess the feasibility and impact on the business.

• Risk Management:

Identify and analyse potential risks, including financial, regulatory, market and commercial risks. Provide recommendations to mitigate these risks and protect the company's commercial interests.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field or equivalent industry experience.

• Proven experience (2-5 years) in a commercial or energy analyst role, ideally within the energy sector or a related industry (e.g., utilities, renewables, oil & gas).

• Strong proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting tools, particularly MS Excel. Conversant with emerging AI modelling opportunities would be a plus.

• Familiarity with energy markets, energy pricing mechanisms, and relevant industry trends.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and risks.
