Do you have the strategic vision and passion for implementing a cutting-edge LMS that aligns with business goals, enhances employee capability, and fosters continuous learning?

Are you ready to collaborate with senior leaders, engage stakeholders, and champion innovation in learning and development to drive lasting organisational success?

MacGregor Black is partnering with a FMCG Business on the search for a L&D Project Lead. This is a 12-18month interim role based West Midlands.

As the L&D Project Lead, you will oversee the end-to-end launch, integration, and management of the digital LMS across all areas of the business, including manufacturing, operations, and corporate functions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan for the deployment of the LMS, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the LMS supports learning needs across manufacturing, operations, and corporate environments.
  • Identify and implement best practices for LMS configuration, usability, and content delivery.
  • Partner with senior leadership, HR, and IT to align the LMS rollout with business goals.
  • Act as the primary liaison between vendors, internal teams, and global stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Collect and incorporate feedback from users across diverse functions to improve system functionality and user experience.
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create, curate, and integrate digital learning content tailored to the needs of different departments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop frameworks for continuous learning and skills enhancement, supporting both technical and leadership development.
  • Oversee system configuration, maintenance, and updates, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
  • Design and implement reporting and analytics to track user engagement, learning outcomes, and system effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the LMS based on data insights and evolving business needs.

What we are looking for?

  • Proven experience in implementing and managing digital LMS platforms in a global or large-scale organisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing, operations, and corporate functions within a complex business environment.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with cross-functional and multi-geography rollouts.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design, and digital learning trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry or a related sector.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory training requirements in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools and LMS analytics reporting.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage details and execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Culturally aware and able to adapt communication and approach to suit a global workforce.
