Job Description
Rugby Borough Council is seeking a dedicated Lead Tenancy Officer to manage tenancy enforcement and support housing management functions. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading legal proceedings on tenancy enforcement.
- Supervising and guiding the Housing Management Team to sustain tenancies.
- Conducting final reviews and recommending next steps for tenancies at risk of eviction.
- Assisting Housing Officers and Coordinators in providing support.
- Representing the Council in court processes related to housing management.
- Delivering estate management services aligned with the Housing Strategy.
- Managing highrisk complaints of antisocial behaviour and neighbour disputes.
- Promoting tenant participation and working with residents to develop community agreements.
- Monitoring housing management systems and preparing reports for improvements.
- Daily supervision of Housing Officers and Coordinators.
- Operational support for Independent Living Coordinators.
- Raising requisition orders and ensuring authorized expenditures.
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a customerfocused environment.
- Proven experience in housing management and tenancy enforcement.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and customer care abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal departments and external organizations.
