Job Description
Rugby Borough Council is seeking a dedicated Lead Tenancy Officer to manage tenancy enforcement and support housing management functions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading legal proceedings on tenancy enforcement.
  • Supervising and guiding the Housing Management Team to sustain tenancies.
  • Conducting final reviews and recommending next steps for tenancies at risk of eviction.
  • Assisting Housing Officers and Coordinators in providing support.
  • Representing the Council in court processes related to housing management.
  • Delivering estate management services aligned with the Housing Strategy.
  • Managing highrisk complaints of antisocial behaviour and neighbour disputes.
  • Promoting tenant participation and working with residents to develop community agreements.
  • Monitoring housing management systems and preparing reports for improvements.
  • Daily supervision of Housing Officers and Coordinators.
  • Operational support for Independent Living Coordinators.
  • Raising requisition orders and ensuring authorized expenditures.

Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a customerfocused environment.
  • Proven experience in housing management and tenancy enforcement.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer care abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal departments and external organizations.
DBS: Basic DBS required

Key Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a customer-focused environment. Proven experience in housing management and tenancy enforcement.
