Manchester, United Kingdom Redwood Publishing Recruitment Full time

Would you like to join a leading organisation that provides comprehensive and industry-specific data and insights to the financial sector? We are working on a fabulous newly created role, as a Publications Manager to manage the organisation’s monthly magazine (digital and print), which showcases the breadth of the company’s research across retail and commercial banking topics. This role can be worked on a remote basis, with occasional working days in the London office.

In this pivotal role, you will influence the strategic direction of the publication, and drive and development of the magazine, and work with colleagues across the company to deliver a high-quality product, managing the process from content planning through to publication. You will work closely with authors to secure article submissions, ensuring consistency between the company’s proprietary insights and source research.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Shaping the overall strategy of the publication, aligning with industry trends.
  • Work with the Editorial and Design teams to meet production deadlines and ensure high standards of publication quality.
  • Bundle edited content for external compositor, and review compositor output
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product stakeholders to support strong commercial outcomes for the publication.
  • Work with the Marketing team to promote the publication effectively, enhancing its visibility and reach.
  • Leverage your experience in product/project management to oversee the publication process from conception to publication.

We are looking for a self-motivated, results-oriented individual with experience in publishing or editing B2B publications, (essential), to drive performance and development of the publication. The successful person will be educated to degree level and will have proven sufficient experience in project or product management. You will need outstanding communication, organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work to deadlines, and engage confidently with senior members of the team. We are looking for someone who will take a pro-active approach to taking ownership of the publication and helping to drive its success. The role does not require the successful person to have a background in finance.

This role offers an opportunity to take on significant responsibility and ownership in your role, working in a collaborative and innovative environment with opportunities for growth and development, along with an attractive salary and company benefits.
