Initial 28 plots will be HA and then Phase 2 will be 150 private homes. All traditional build.

The role:

As a Trainee Site Manager you will work with an experienced Site Manager and help run the housing development.

You will be trained in the role of Site Manager and help the Site Manager with their day to day duties. These include:Being responsible for subcontract trades and labour and manage the whole project within a set build program. Making sure the build program is completed within budget and with the highest levels of customer satisfaction. On a daily basis you will help carry out toolbox talks and maintain records according to program. You will help manage health and safety on site. This will involve help identifying risk assessments and safe systems of work and weekly audits. You will help control and monitor all resources including materials and subcontractors. You will ensure site records are maintained and recorded accordingly. The Person: It is likely you will have previously worked in a housebuilding trade such a carpenter,bricklayer or similar or alternatively have recently obtained a HNC or HND in Building studies or Construction related degree.

This is an ideal role for a trades person looking to make the step into a Site Manager role or a construction graduate or similar.
