Position – Major Accounts Manager – Materials Handling


Impact Handling are actively recruiting for Major Accounts Manager, to achieve or exceed agreed sales targets for volume, mix and quality from large users of mechanical handling equipment within a designated area.


What we are looking for

A Major Accounts Manager with a hunger to grow and develop new business. A hunter, not a farmer.


• Proven track record in personal selling and meeting or exceeding sales targets to major account businesses

• Positive work attitude and high energy levels

• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills along with strong presentation skills.

• Natural and strong customer service orientation.

• Commercially aware with a strong profit orientation

• Operates to high standards in record keeping and administration of all aspects of selling, order processing, customer information management and reporting.

• Works proactively with all colleagues with understanding and support for their objectives and requirements.


What does success in the role look like?

• Achievement of overall volume target of Contact Hire sales, Cash / Lease sales, refurbished equipment sales.

• Development of new major account business in target industries & customers.

• Pursue opportunities from existing major/key accounts with only a small amount of their fleet with Impact - working in teamwork with Territory Sales colleagues where appropriate.

• Development & delivery of account plans for all existing and target major account customers.

• Professional gravitas and excellent commercial and presentation skills to ensure Impact Handling is presented to all target accounts and included on all proposal / tender lists.

• Interacting with all customers and colleagues in a manner consistent with the company’s culture and values
