The Client


Datacenter People is partnering with a data centre power infrastructure provider that specialises in commissioning solutions delivered through equipment rental services.


What The Job Involves


Commercial role responsible for generating profitable business for the company focusing on the UK market:

  • Customer relations, from prospecting for new customers and markets to recording purchase orders
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans that expand the company’s customer base and consolidate its presence
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel on assigned customer accounts
  • Preparation, submission and negotiation of tenders and quotations
  • Follow-up of calls for tender and quotations and securing of contracts
  • Manage the sales process from plan to close
  • Ensure that customers are kept informed of the status of current contracts and that problems are resolved as quickly as possible
  • Product applications and sales development
  • Propose and participate in marketing actions such as exhibitions
  • Project management in collaboration with the Contract and Logistics teams
  • Regular site and customer visits (80%)
  • Regular reporting to the Sales Director and participation in sales meetings
  • Occasional participation in site work to support the installation team
  • Targets will be based on the company’s budgeted order intake and on performance criteria
  • You will report to the Head of Sales based in the London office


We Are Looking For Someone With


  • Technically competent with knowledge that gives you a good understanding of M&E systems
  • Experience in a data center environment would be highly appreciated
  • With prior experience in service sales, rental sales or similar
  • At ease with commercial negotiations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Motivated and organized, able to prioritize your workload and agenda
