DP World are currently recruiting for a Manager - Bid Management (Contract Logistics) who will lead and coordinate our bid management process for both new business and contract renewals. This role can be based anywhere in the UK working on a remote basis although you will need flexibility and willingness to travel to sites when required. This role can also be based anywhere across Europe.


In this role you will manage and oversee governance of the Bid Management process and act as a project manager ensuring all steps are effectively managed and actioned correctly. Being a strong, confident communicator you will act as the conduit for all stakeholder departments to come together to provide a successful bid management process.


About the role:

Bid Management Process:

  • For each separate opportunity, engage the local Sales Operations / Commercial lead team to align on specific role to support the opportunities required
  • Manage all required opportunities through the defined DPW Logistics Europe bid management process that is applicable and aligned to the respective separate regional needs. This will cover the “Opportunity assessment” stage right through to “Closed & Won” when we have a signed contract from our customer. Stakeholder engagement and management needed to keep this process on track to make sure our opportunity presentations and customer commercial offers are all approved within the business.
  • Own the establishment of the required “Go / No Go” calls with the respective functional leads in the region (or sub-region) and communicate the decisions within the business.
  • Help to set up and attend as necessary any “Kick off” meetings with the respective response teams for an opportunity.
  • Gather the necessary information from the opportunity lead and finance teams to enable an opportunity to be presented to the Regional Customer Council (RCC) for approval. Facilitate these meetings and capture outcomes in the CRM system
  • Work independently and handle, track & prioritize multiple RFQ response assignments concurrently
  • In all situations, the role will operate with a mix of leading / doing the tasks listed as it will be supporting / assisting the local regional teams in the overall bid management process.

CRM system:

  • Manage and maintain opportunities in the CRM system to ensure correct visibility of status and associated managerial reports are correct. Work with the opportunity owners listed in the CRM to ensure process adherence as well as data quality in the region.
  • Assist where required on data gathering and managerial report building on the performance of the growth and renewal pipeline.
  • Work with the global CRM teams where new processes or change requests to the systems are required.

Training:

  • As part of the day to day activity, set up and hold specific CRM and bid management training with the commercial teams where there is a need. Working with the respective local training teams and the commercial leads – this training will cover both new joiner onboarding as it will for process / system updates.

Reporting:

  • Working with the regional teams, help to extract the required managerial information and reporting that each region will need for their reviews. Working with the commercial and financial leads to define the requirements and then the timing and process to extract / analyse / report the data.

Internal alignments:

  • Be willing and able to engage senior internal stakeholders to progress the required bid management process activities. Be a “self-starter” in proactively engaging any internal stakeholder to both produce output, but also to question and continuously improve our internal processes.

General:

  • To proactively keep pushing the way we showcase DPWorld in the eyes of the customer. To observe, challenge and question how things are done today – so we can continuously improve our credentials and how we are seen by customers when they receive a DPWorld submission.
