Work Arrangement: Full-time, on-site (London office, 5 days per week)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) Audit Contractor to join our team for a 6-month engagement. This role focuses on the delivery of audit tasks related to counterparty credit risk, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in evaluating and improving the organization's CCR frameworks, policies, and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute audits related to Counterparty Credit Risk, focusing on risk identification, assessment, and management processes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of CCR frameworks, including governance, policies, methodologies, and controls.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of exposure measurement, collateral management, and credit limit monitoring processes.
  • Assess compliance with regulatory requirements such as Basel III/IV, CRD V/VI, and PRA expectations.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and insightful audit reports, outlining key findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across risk management, trading, finance, and compliance functions to address identified gaps and improvements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of audit deliverables within the agreed timeframes.
  • Keep abreast of changes in CCR regulatory requirements and market best practices.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in Counterparty Credit Risk, ideally within a financial services or audit environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CCR concepts, including exposure metrics (e.g., Potential Future Exposure, Expected Exposure), risk mitigation strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Prior experience in internal or external audit with a focus on credit risk or financial risk management.
  • Familiarity with trading products (e.g., derivatives, repos, securities financing transactions) and their impact on CCR.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and articulate complex risk issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver effective audit reports and presentations.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or FRM are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using audit tools and data analysis techniques is a plus.

Remuneration
