We are seeking an EDI Manager with a focus on Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) for an immediate start. This role is crucial in managing and developing robust EIA processes across the brigade, reflecting our commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our activities and interventions are designed to meet the diverse needs of all staff and the communities we serve.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage daily submissions of Equality Impact Assessments, ensuring compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty.
- Develop and refine EIA processes to ensure they are robust and effective.
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, to promote and integrate EIA practices.
- Deliver training on EIA to internal stakeholders, contributing to the continuous improvement of the organisation’s culture.
- Work collaboratively with the EDI team to support the brigade’s vision and objectives.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in managing Equality Impact Assessments or similar processes.
- Adaptable, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as email and internet browsing.
- A strong understanding of the Public Sector Equality Duty and its application within the UK context.
- Competitive hourly rate with the potential for the role to become permanent.
