About The Role
HomeServe are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join the Finance Team in Walsall. The successful candidate will be currently studying, entering their final exams/part qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA.

You will have technical accounting knowledge and the application of Fixed Assets and Leases accounting standards. You will also be responsible for owning and managing balance sheet accounting, therefore,a higher level of experience and qualification is required.

We work in a hybrid way, mostly remote with a requirement to travel into our Walsall office at least twice a week to work with your team. With that in mind, you will be located within a reasonable commute to Walsall.

Financial Reporting & Control (FR&C) is responsible for the financial accounting, reporting, control and financial processing for HomeServe Membership and several other group companies.

The Management Accountant for fixed assets is responsible for assisting in the preparation and reconciliation of all internal and external reporting of Fixed Assets including statutory accounts inputs for the UK business and Group function, Corporation Tax inputs, Carbon Emissions and Office of National Statistics Mandatory Reporting.

The key accountabilities are:
  • Reconciliations - Production of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Leases, Tangible and Intangible fixed assets for Senior Manager review and sign off
