Meraki Talent’s MSP client is actively recruiting for an IT Support technician to join there growing team. This is a chance to join a boutique IT consultancy to provide IT support to their diverse array of their clients in Scotland. Through a hands-on, customer-focused approach and ability to adapt to technology trends they have been extremely successful in growing their business.


This position extends beyond traditional IT support and the routine handling of repetitive tickets / queries. You will have the autonomy to broaden your skill set, work across a variety of tasks / projects and take ownership of your professional growth.


They are looking for someone who has 1st / 2nd line IT support experience either from an MSP provider or a small / medium sized business – similar to their clients. They are looking for someone who craves ownership and is happy to get involved in wide array of tasks.



Responsibilities of the IT Support Technician


  • Diagnose and address complex technical problems reported by end-users, including issues related to desktops, servers, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.
  • Ensure that critical infrastructure and services are running securely and optimally, performing routine maintenance and updates as needed.
  • Assist the support desk by resolving and prioritizing support tickets, ensuring timely and effective solutions for a diverse client base.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, contributing to their development and career progression through regular mentoring and training.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by creatively addressing client problems and maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.



Background of the IT Support Technician


  • A strong background in an IT support related role
  • Expertise with Microsoft desktop and server environments, Microsoft 365, Azure, and strong network troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to deliver an excellent level of customer service
