As a key member of the executive team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the IT strategy during a critical period of transformation. In this role, you will oversee the entire IT function, from infrastructure and cybersecurity to software development and systems integration. Your ability to manage large-scale projects, mitigate risks, and lead cross-functional teams will be essential to delivering successful outcomes. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the business, ensuring that IT solutions support our commercial objectives while complying with the highest industry standards and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading the IT department, providing strategic direction, and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Driving digital transformation initiatives, leveraging the latest technologies to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experience.
  • Ensuring the security, reliability, and scalability of the IT infrastructure, with a focus on maintaining robust cybersecurity protocols.
  • Managing technology budgets, optimising resource allocation, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services.
  • Overseeing regulatory compliance and ensuring that IT systems and processes meet all financial industry regulations.
  • Leading disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring minimal disruption in case of system failures or cyber threats.
  • Collaborating with C-level executives and key stakeholders to prioritise technology initiatives that align with business growth objectives.


Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the banking and financial services sector.
  • Strong background in managing complex IT environments, including infrastructure, software development, and data management.
  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale IT projects, including digital transformation and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Expertise in managing technology risk and regulatory compliance within a financial services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, with a focus on delivering tangible business results.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, fintech solutions, and emerging technologies in the banking sector will be an advantage.
