Job Title: Head of IT / IT Director

Job Type: Interim. 3-6 months

Day Rate: £650 - £850

Reports to: CEO

This is a confidential appointment and as such, some information is restricted.

We are seeking an experienced IT leader to join our team as an Interim Head of IT. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the IT strategy during a critical period of transformation.

As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for aligning the technology infrastructure with business goals, ensuring seamless operations, and implementing cutting-edge solutions to maintain the competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading the IT department, providing strategic direction, and ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Driving digital transformation initiatives, leveraging the latest technologies to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experience.
  • Ensuring the security, reliability, and scalability of the IT infrastructure, with a focus on maintaining robust cybersecurity protocols.
  • Managing technology budgets, optimising resource allocation, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services.
  • Overseeing regulatory compliance and ensuring that IT systems and processes meet all financial industry regulations.
  • Leading disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring minimal disruption in case of system failures or cyber threats.
  • Collaborating with C-level executives and key stakeholders to prioritise technology initiatives that align with business growth objectives.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the banking and financial services sector.
  • Strong background in managing complex IT environments, including infrastructure, software development, and data management.
  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale IT projects, including digital transformation and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Expertise in managing technology risk and regulatory compliance within a financial services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, with a focus on delivering tangible business results.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, fintech solutions, and emerging technologies in the banking sector will be an advantage.
