Job DescriptionPrivate Client SolicitorLocation: ChesterSalary: 40000 - 55000Working Pattern: Full-time PermanentExperience required: 2 years PQE in Private ClientAbout the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a respected full-service law firm with a strong regional presence and a reputation for excellence in Private Client work.Our client is opening a new office in Chester as part of their continued expansion and growth. With roots and history based in Manchester they are known for their client-centric approach professional integrity and commitment to excellence.You will manage a varied caseload providing high-quality legal advice and support to private clients on matters including Wills Probate Lasting Powers of Attorney and Administration of Estates.Your key responsibilities will include:Legal Advisory:Providing expert legal advice on Wills Probate Lasting Powers of Attorney and Administration of EstatesAdvising clients on tax planning and inheritance tax mattersOffering strategic guidance on estate planningKeeping up to date with changes in legislation and best practices in private client lawCase Management:Managing a diverse caseload with a focus on delivering exceptional client serviceAdministering estates and managing the probate processHandling matters from instruction through to completionEnsuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standardDocument Preparation:Drafting and reviewing legal documents including wills trust deeds and powers of attorneyPreparing probate applications and estate accountsEnsuring accuracy and compliance in all documentationManaging complex estate administrationClient Relationships:Building and maintaining strong client relationshipsWorking closely with clients on sensitive mattersProviding compassionate and professional serviceManaging client expectations effectivelyCollaboration & Development:Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless service deliverySupporting the department and participating in business development activitiesEngaging in networking activitiesContributing to the growth of the Chester officeWhat Were Looking ForEssential Requirements:Experience:2 years PQE in Private ClientQualified Solicitor (England & Wales)Experience working in a Private Client teamProven track record managing Wills Probate LPAs and Estate AdministrationExcellent planning and prioritising skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to manage a diverse caseload effectivelyStrong client care and relationship-building skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and collaborativelyCommercial awareness and business development mindsetDesirable:STEP accreditation or SFE accreditationExperience with tax planning and inheritance tax mattersInterest in business development and networkingPersonal Attributes:Client-centric approachProfessional integrityMotivated and talentedCompassionate and empathetic when dealing with sensitive mattersCollaborative team playerBenefits PackageFinancial Rewards:Salary: 40000 - 55000 (dependent on experience)Competitive bonus schemeComprehensive benefits packageProfessional Development:Real opportunity to join a high-performing departmentSupport for professional development and accreditationsOpportunity to be part of a new office openingBusiness development and networking opportunitiesCollaborative learning environmentWorking Environment:Flexible hybrid working arrangementsSupportive leadershipGenuinely collaborative cultureWell-established full-service law firm with strong regional presenceNew Chester office with modern facilitiesAbout Our ClientOur client is a leading full-service law firm with a rich history of providing exceptional legal services to clients across the UK.
