We are currently seeking a Backend Technical Lead (Software Engineer) for a bleeding-edge project in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. Our client is developing a revolutionary decentralized derivatives trading platform. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an exceptional CTO and a leadership team with a proven track record.
As a Technical Lead, you will be instrumental in driving the development of the platform’s backend services. You will report directly to the CTO and lead a team of skilled developers to design, build, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the platform's performance, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the backend development team, providing technical guidance and mentorship. This is not a line management role.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and Nest.js.
- Implement and manage data storage solutions with PostgreSQL.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
- Manage message queues using RabbitMQ for efficient communication between services.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Utilize Docker for containerization and orchestration of services.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO and other stakeholders to align technical strategies with business goals.
- Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Extensive experience with databases such as PostgreSQL.
- In-depth knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ, AWS, and Docker.
- Excellent technical leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
