Directly responsible to the North Sea Managing Director, this role will have overall responsibility for managing and developing the companies commercial activities to optimise market share. You will also have regular contact and communications with personnel from other business departments throughout the company.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales target for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing, new products & services (tonnages, sales price levels, product mix, customers portfolio). Key stakeholder of the Sales Demand.
  • Drive the team to achieve the sales targets per country in terms of revenue, volume and product mix K as per the strategic plan and in consistency with the worldwide growth plan.
  • Establish sales & visit plans (pipes / services / accessories) to achieve forecasts (Sales Demand & S&OP), annual sales target but also cash collection in its sales area ; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products. Key metrics being: (bookings / invoicing / overdue).
  • Manage, grow & retain team to ensure sustainability and competency of the sales organization. Cross fertilization with other product lines or with Norway sales team. Review processes to have those at the optimum in collaboration with the customer service manager.
  • Ensure the sales organisation answers customer tenders accurately and in a timely manner and satisfying the customer’s expectations in accordance to DoA & offer processes.
  • Identify emerging markets (hunting) and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status that’s within the product line or through New Energy organisation.
  • In coordination with technical and service teams, built and drive the promotion sales plan (webinar; sales calls; etc) of company capabilities and products in its sales area, and lobby towards end users and stakeholders. Such a plan is to support the delivering of the long term business plan and short / medium term of the budget exercises.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with defined Quality Procedures, Standards and Directives at all times.
  • Keep direct accounts in order to maintain close links to key customers but also in assessing current processes.
  • Support and contribute and be a key member of the management committee in transforming / transitioning the company to be in a position to deliver the growth plan.


Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:


  • Preferably educated to degree level, with previous experience in senior commercial position & ideally within the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Possess the ability to operate at a strategic level to identify and capture new business
  • Managerial skills to lead / coach / mentor a team to deliver.
  • Interdisciplinary and product line savviness notably on services/innovation and accessories but also at a group level (marketing / product lines etc).
  • Possess sufficient knowledge of the market situation to report trends which will influence Company Strategy.
  • Must Possess excellent communication, organisational, interpersonal, presentation and negotiating skills as the role will involve liaison with senior personnel across the internal and external customer group.
  • The job holder must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and capable of working well both alone and as part of a team.
  • Possess the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate multiple tasks to meet targets.
  • Good user knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint), as the post-holder will require to compile and produce reports and presentations.
  • The role requires knowledge, understanding and application of Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and Safe Working Practices, Company Environmental Policies and Procedures and the Company’s Quality Policy and Standards and Quality Management System.
  • Must have a full driving licence
