This Specialty (Re)Insurance business are hiring an International Financial Controller to build strength at the Finance Leadership level and deputise for the CFO where appropriate. As the organisation continues to grow organically and through acquisition they require a strong Controller/Director to support the business in making strategic decisions. - Lead the delivery of the International Board, US Group, Statutory Reporting for the UK and overseas entities.- Continuously develop Internal Controls and Accounting Policies to deliver process redesign and implementation where required.- Oversee a Reporting Team consisting of three FTE (Qualified Professionals), coaching/developing staff and managing performance. - Ensure timely completion of the monthly/quarterly/annual close processes. - Partner with the Head of Finance Operations to ensure to delivery of Expense Reporting. - Partner with UK Tax Manager to ensure delivery of direct and indirect tax processes, computations and filings. - Act as a commercial partner to local MDs of Business Units to optimise value creation for the Group and strategic initatives. - Support the CFO with M&A activities (due-diligence of potential acquisition targets) and integration. - Oversee the delivery of Internal/External Audit activities in respect of Finance deliverables and respond to any queries.
