Interim contract 3-6 months, day rate circa £1000 per day dependent upon experience (client would consider a 4-day week for the perfect candidate). The ideal candidate is a B2B marketing interim professional with experience of lead generation, brand strategy and content within a technology environment – we’re particularly interested in candidates with Fintech experience.

A technology company with Private Equity backing are looking for a B2B Marketing Director to develop and drive a high-performance team focusing on lead generation, brand strategy and maximising revenue.

We are looking for a B2B Marketing Director who is sharp, commercial, can work at a pace and has the gravitas and influence to drive the team forward and enable growth. A high EQ will be essential as great leadership is required to create effective relationships and communication, both internally and externally.


Interim Marketing Director – B2B Technology Company – Private Equity backed

Key remit of role:

  • A full mix role including digital marketing, lead generation and content, brand strategy; communications and PR
  • Use customer insight, data and analysis to develop a clear, commercial marketing and brand strategy, identifying market opportunities to grow revenue and profit, maintaining budgets and forecasts
  • Brand and digital – communicate the brand story/USP, increase digital reach and improve conversion and digital channel optimisation
  • Product and lifecycle marketing – define key target markets and share bespoke content and case studies to share value message. Encourage a cross functional approach, working with product and sales teams to increase conversion rates
  • Manage customer experience post sales to increase retention and cross sell
  • Deliver cross channel campaigns, managing and measuring performance
  • Organise industry events and webinars
  • Develop and drive a high-performance team of marketers, continuously improving their skills and talent


Skills / experience required:

  • Degree educated, an accomplished professional with extensive B2B marketing experience - proven demand generation / lead generation
  • Ability to build great relationships internally and externally with a high EQ. Liaising with multiple departments across the business to deliver results.
  • A truly commercial marketeer with a holistic business view and track record of leveraging marketing initiatives to generate measurable business results and drive revenues
  • Customer and data centric. Commercial but with a creative flair
  • Ability to set customer vision for the organisation, drive the expansion of all customer segments, multiple personas, products and markets
  • Experience in maximising digital marketing developments and tools, with hands on performance acquisition experience (SEO and Paid Social)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office experience especially PowerPoint (plus experience of Salesforce would be advantageous)
  • Low ego – a strong influencer; compelling communicator. Flexible and open to ideas, yet confident, self-assured and resilient
