Job Description The messaging team is a senior third-line technology team that implements, supports, and enhances enterprise solutions such as Messaging and Email Security. This role is an ideal opportunity for a technical expert who can help deliver new solutions, enhance existing solutions, also getting hands on with 3rd line support. A day in the role: Your day might begin with a stand-up to align with your team's sprint. Next, you may have some project work to do or a project meeting to attend, where you'll be modernising the Bank through the services, you're responsible for. After that, you may draft and raise a change request through the Bank's formal change processes to change or update email policies. The following day if you're in the office, you could have lunch in the canteen with some of your colleagues. In the afternoon, you may have a support call from a user about an issue with their email encryption, checking to ensure our monitoring tools haven't alerted us to anything untoward. Once you've sorted that call, you'll document the fix so that colleagues in your team and division better understand the services you support. The rest of the afternoon could be spent reviewing a problem ticket and technical documentation of an upcoming feature for the Banks current messaging stack and identify any required actions for the team. Because of this, you will also be part of our on-call rota and on occasions be required to work evenings and weekends to perform certain tasks, especially on live systems. Additional renumeration is currently available for both the on-call rota and working out of hours (overtime). How this role fits into the wider Bank: This role is part of the Digital Workplace domain which is responsible for selecting, delivering and continuously improving a portfolio of digital services that help colleagues across the Bank to collaborate, communicate and be productive irrespective of role, device, or location. This role will be crucial in helping the Bank modernise the email service available to its colleagues, and to help us understand how we make the best use of the services available. Salary and Benefits Information We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate. We offer a salary as follows: Leeds circa £55,280 - £62,190 In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below: Currently a non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/80th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/65th) or decrease (to 1/105th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
