Overview ACTIVE SC Clearance is needed. We’re seeking an experienced Messaging Engineer to join a secure enterprise environment, supporting and enhancing Microsoft Exchange and Email Security services. You’ll play a key role in maintaining, modernising, and supporting complex messaging solutions within a highly regulated organisation. This position is ideal for a senior‑level engineer who enjoys hands‑on 3rd‑line support, problem‑solving, and contributing to enterprise‑wide transformation projects. Key Responsibilities Provide 3rd line support for enterprise messaging and email security platforms Manage and administer Exchange Hybrid and Exchange Online (O365) environments Support and configure Secure Email Gateways (Mimecast, Clearswift, or IronPort)Maintain and troubleshoot email encryption technologies (TLS, PGP, PME) Configure and manage DNS / MX / SPF / DKIM / DMARC records for secure email delivery Develop and maintain system documentation and technical runbooks Implement and maintain PowerShell automation for routine admin tasks Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL framework) Mentor and support junior team members and liaise with other support teams Participate in on‑call rota for critical systems (enhanced pay available) Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience supporting and delivering Exchange 2013 / 2016 / Online (O365) Experience with email security gateways (e.g. Mimecast, Clearswift, IronPort, or Proofpoint) Solid understanding of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and PowerShell scripting Experience in managing highly secure environments (MOD, Government, or Financial) Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Desirable Skills Knowledge of email authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) Experience with Enterprise Vault or other archiving solutions Familiarity with cloud migration projects (Exchange Online) Understanding of Agile and ITIL methodologies #J-18808-Ljbffr
